Work History: | Chief Fernald was a member of the West Covina D.U.I. Enforcement Team, the SWAT team, Range Master, Hands Driving Instructor, Shooting Simulator Instructor and Driving Simulator Instructor. He has been a member of the Red Ribbon Rally Committee for 18 years which consists of various community groups and businesses hosting an annual event which encourages anti-drug related activities for students and their families. He has been involved with the presentation of 12 Every 15 Minutes Programs and presents at classrooms locally, teaching students from grades 4 to 12, about DARE and GREAT, encouraging life skills needed to succeed in their future and encouraging students to become productive members of the community and country. |

Career Accomplishments: | Chief Fernald graduated first in his class while obtaining his D.A.R.E. Instructorship. He is extremely involved in the community anti-drug and related activities with the local youth and enjoys teaching them about life skills that will benefit them in their future. He has been involved in numerous community programs including the Channel 13 Romper Room children's show, School Resource Officer, Community Relations Officer, Police Explorer Coordinator/Advisor and Reserve Police Officer Training Coordinator.
