It was created to produce, protect and promote maximum sharing of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) among its members in an expeditious manner.

Work History: Ms. Welch has over 40 years of research, analysis, program evaluation/oversight, policy formulation, congressional liaison and writing experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) as a Federal employee and as a contractor with the Intelligence Community (IC). She has served in civilian positions with the Departments of the Army and Navy; Office of the Secretary of Defense in the DoD Inspector General's Office; U.S. Army Materiel Command IG Activity, Alexandria, Virginia; U.S. Army Communications, Research and Development Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J.; and in overseas assignments at NATO Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium; Nahbollenbach Army Depot, Idar-Oberstein, Germany; and at Kaiserslautern Army Depot Complex headquarters, Kaiserslautern, Germany, where she was the Director of Administration and Public Affairs Officer. Ms. Welch also served as Staff Officer for the Director, Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA), Executive Office of the President, and as Executive Assistant/Newsroom Coordinator for WJLA-TV (ABC7) and NewsChannel 8 (NC8) in Arlington, Virginia. Her work was used to promote efficiencies, strengthen the effectiveness of intelligence and defense programs and policies, and often resulted in the improved morale and welfare of the workforce.
