JAMES ZUUGAH TIIGAH RECOGNIZED BY STRATHMORE'S WHO'S WHO WORLDWIDE PUBLICATION
SYOSSET, NEW YORK – Mr. James Zuugah Tiigah, of Bawku, Ghana, has been included in the Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of management and public administration.
ABOUT JAMES ZUUGAH TIIGAH
Mr. Tiigah has had several years of experience in public administration and management. He is currently serving as Chief Treasury Officer as a Permanent Mission of Ghana to the United Nations. His responsibilities include being the Principal Advisor to the Head of Mission on financial matters, preparing bank reconciliation statements for the Mission's 13 bank accounts, writing checks, preparing management and statutory reports for the Head of Mission and Accra and maintaining the books. Prior to this, Mr. Tiigah has held various positions including Head of Monitoring, CAGD Monitoring Section, Chief Cashier, CAGD Headquarters, Chief Treasury Officer, Ministry of Health Treasury, Head of Section, DAU Headquarters, Head of Accounts, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Chief Treasury Officer, Ghana High Commission, London and Chairman, CAGD Staff Welfare Association and Co-Chairman, CLOSAG Welfare Committee. He was voted as the best worker in the Treasury Division of CAGD for two consecutive years and 1st Runner Up for the Best Civil Servant for 2009. Mr. Tiigah has facilitated and presented a number of workshops organized by GIMPA on understanding financial reports of MMDAs and the roles and responsibilities of the accounting and finance function in the District Development Fund selection process. He has also prepared training modules on the financial roles and responsibilities of non-accounting managers and accounting in the public sector. During his career, Mr. Tiigah has been promoted from Accounts Assistant to Chief Accountant in his various roles. He currently resides in New York City, New York, where he enjoys farming, reading, football, snooker, swimming and walking.
